Carl Zeiss 67mm T* Circular Polarizing (POL) Filter

The Carl Zeiss 67mm T* Circular Polarizing Filter is designed to the same high standards as their world famous and time honored camera lenses. The high standards of a Carl Zeiss filter are meant to complement the Zeiss camera lenses, but are just as effective and do good service to other lenses too. The T* multi-coating of this filter is designed to both minimize reflections at the filter's surface as well as improve its light transmission capability for optimal image clarity.

Polarizing filters are useful because light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors to provide better contrast (think colorful foliage in Autumn). The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor (how light or dark the resulting image will be) varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.
