If you have used equipment you are looking to sell or trade, please contact us regarding the equipment you have and we’ll provide you with a free estimate! If you contact us by email, please provide a detailed list of your equipment, including physical and mechanical conditions. The more information you can give us, the better the estimate we can provide.

Would we be interested in your used equipment?

There is no camera equipment we will not consider. Used equipment values vary greatly depending on many conditions and variables, but Green Mountain Camera will consider any and all camera equipment, and photographica.

What is the difference between selling and trading?

Green Mountain Camera is an authorized dealer for most major photographic equipment manufacturers. We carry Vermont’s largest inventory of new, used and antique camera equipment. If there is something you want, new or old, we most likely will have it! Trade in your used equipment towards the purchase of something from Green Mountain Camera and we will give you a better offer, typically of about 10% more, for your used equipment. Otherwise, you can simply sell your equipment to us out-right, and we will write you a check.

Part of our core business is buying and selling used and antique camera equipment. As such, we can typically offer a great value for your equipment, and often better than our competitors. In addition, you can sell or trade all of your equipment all-at-once, with no risk.

If you have already received a verifiable quote from a competitor we can, in most cases, beat their offer!

What if you do not live near our retail store?

Not a problem. We have worked with many individuals who have sold us equipment from vast distances. If you agree to our estimate, and can package your items securely for shipment, we can send you a UPS shipping label (USA only). No need to pay for getting your items to us! Please keep in mind that once we receive your equipment, we do a thorough check. If the equipment was inaccurately described by you, our estimate will be refigured to accurately reflect the equipment. What if we can’t agree on a final value? Not a problem, we will ship your equipment back to you, but you will have to pay for shipping costs for inaccurately describing your equipment (both to and from us).

What if you have a large estate or collection?

Depending on the size of your estate or collection, and the distance from our location, we can send a buying specialist to provide an on-site estimate without the need for you to do any work. Please contact us using the information above if you think this pertains to you.
