Once we receive your list of used camera equipment, we will contact you within 24 to 72 hours (peak times may take longer, but please feel free to call us for an update: (802) 244-0883) with an initial estimate range. If you agree, and the equipment value is worth at least $500 for purchase or trade, we will provide you with free shipping labels to have your equipment sent to us for final evaluation. If the value of your equipment is less than $500 for purchase or trade, you can send, or drop off, your equipment directly to us.

Would we be interested in your used camera equipment?
There is no camera equipment we will not consider. Used equipment values vary greatly depending on many conditions and variables, but Green Mountain Camera will consider any and all camera equipment, and photographica.
What is the difference between selling and trading?
Green Mountain Camera is an authorized dealer for most major photographic equipment manufacturers. We carry Vermont’s largest inventory of new, used and antique camera equipment. If there is something you want, new or old, we most likely will have it! Trade in your used equipment towards the purchase of something from Green Mountain Camera and we will give you a better offer, typically of about 10% more, for your used equipment. Otherwise, you can simply sell your equipment to us out-right, and we will write you a check.

What if you do not live near our retail store?
Not a problem. We have worked with many individuals who have sold us equipment from vast distances. If you agree to our estimate, and can package your items securely for shipment, we can have UPS pick up the equipment from you, and at no charge to you (domestic only, qualifying trade-ins or purchases only valid at $500 or more, and you are responsible to package equipment for shipment). Please keep in mind that once we receive your equipment, we do a thorough check. If the equipment was inaccurately described by you, our estimate will be refigured to accurately reflect the equipment. What if we can’t agree on a final value? Not a problem, we will ship your equipment back to you, but you will have to pay for shipping costs (both to and from us) for misrepresenting your equipment.
What if you have a large camera collection or estate?
Depending on the size of your estate or collection, and the distance from our location, we can send a buying specialist to provide an on-site estimate without the need for you to do any work. Please contact us using the information above if you think this pertains to you
